It's getting so difficult for me to make a review for the Aurora90 cause I just want to bring her out for some fun time!

Today I collected the keys for my new house and seeing how small houses are here, it's probably the only time I can fly a quad in my house (while it's still empty).

I'm liking the new trees too! =D

Find this awesome micro quad here!

[TK Lap] Martian III with OMNIBUS Betaflight F3 FC

So everyone keeps a set of spares for their main quads, up to a point where there are so many spares that you can build a new quad...

Here's my spare part quad, pretty good don't you think? :D

This FC is my new favourite bang for buck FC, you can find it here:

An OSD isn't necessary, but it really makes life a lot easier, and after numerous punchouts I confirm that the BFOSD is stable (unlike some mwosd installations which are really sensitive to the 5V line).

[Micro Tech Lap] Aurora90 with a twist!

The first of the challenger micros have arrived!
And she's none other than the Eachine Aurora90.

It was also new for me to see my flight from above, and it became clear how much margin there was to the railings even though they looked so close in FPV.

I will push myself harder next time!

Do check out my Eachine Aurora90 page for more info!

[TK Lap] Holybro Shuriken X1

This Quad's PIDs still need some working on, thinking of trying out some new props (just ordered) cause nothing seems to be solving the low/mid throttle issues.

However since most of the time I'm not at at low/mid throttle, this Quad is a blast to fly!

Micro Tech Lap with Eachine Chaser88

Couldn't resist taking the Chaser88 out for another run after adjusting the PIDs.
The cameras did well under the low lighting conditions as well!

I lowered my rates and ended up with a very controllable quad, and the lap timing reflected this with a 3 second (~10%) reduction in fastest lap timing!

Check out the video below:

I got a new toy!!!

Not bad for a first timer if I may say so myself :P

Holybro Shuriken X1

from www.gearbest.com

Gearbest Banner

Just flew the Holybro Shuriken X1 from www.gearbest.com earlier this morning:
To say i'm amazed would be an understatement

Even though I saw some items I didn't like in the factory Betaflight Configuration settings, I deliberately flew this quad in its "out-of-the-box" condition.

The only thing I changed were the "modes" and the rates.

PIDs, Telemetry, OSD, Failsafe, everything was left as it is, directly out of the box.
I did not even calibrate the ESCs.
Even then it flew really well, and I could get used to the quad very quickly!

Out-of-the-box, I already matched my best timing on this lap, and this is currently running at 2khz/1khz, with OneShot125.

I have great expectations for this quad in the near future, after some tweaking of the settings.

Do subscribe and stay tuned for the full review!

ImpulseRC Alien 5"

This is my personal quad, and it used to be one of the meanest quads on earth.
Alas technology has progressed and there are now even meaner quads..

However this quad continues to be one of the smoothest quads I own and the joy I get from flying it has not decreased since the day I built her.

JJRC JJPro P200 (modified)

from www.banggood.com

Starting a new segment in my reviews, a more technical lap timing instead of the previous all out power lap timing

Seems like this is still my fastest quad at this moment!

Get the JJRC P200 here

Unfortunately these ESCs seem to have been discontinued, but the newer (and cheaper!) versions are here!

JJRC JJPro P200 with HDCam(modified)

from www.banggood.com

This quad has become my HD recording quad
While I can definitely feel the extra mass due to the HDcam, this quad is still not being flown at its full potential..
Definitely the lap times will be improved in time to come!

Martian 5" with Racerstar 2205 2300kV Racing Edition Motors

from www.banggood.com

Brought the "Alien Clone" out today as well.
Hardware on the 2 are totally different, but this quad is meant to be the cheapo training quad.
Pretty decent nevertheless!
This was my first and only pack on it today, was still getting used to the feel at the start of the video.

Eachine Wizard X220 ARF

from www.banggood.com

Took the camera from my Wizard X220 RTF and replaced the one in the ARF to solve the purple hue issue..
Marginal Improvements in speed, but having things in their usual colours definitely makes flying easier!

Eachine Wizard X220 RTF

from www.banggood.com

Brought the Wizard X220 out for another flight today to see if the improved tune helped with the lap times - which indeed it did.

Check out the video to see more!
And for my first time ever.. I got stuck in the tree at the end...

The PIDs in this vid are here
